Marie Noëlle and Sven welcome you to their quiet charming cottage located in the green countryside of the peacefull village of Tréhorenteuc in the Brocéliande forest near Paimpont.

The location of the holiday house makes it the perfect spot for those wanting the tranquility of the nearby forest and still being close to historical towns, créperies, restaurants and shops.

The gîte 'Les Farfadets' can accomodate 4 to 5 people and has received the french "Clevacances 2" quality accomodation standard.

We are open all year round and we insist that MAY, JUNE, SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER are excellent months to visit Brittany as well.

The gîte is tastefully decorated and equiped to a good standard with:
--A main lounge/dining room.
--An open plan fully fitted kitchen.
--2 bedrooms.
--A showerroom, WC.
--TV, radio, DVD.
--A small veranda.
--A wooden deck and a large 'green' area with barbecue
  behind the house.


The forest of Brocéliande is the legendary side of the actuel Paimpont forest(forêt de Paimpont).
The spirit of Merlin the magicien is always around and one would not be surprised to see Viviane appear at the edge of the "Val sans retour", the valley of no return, at only 10 minutes walking distance from your holiday home.

Magic is operating, undoubtedly due to some discreet fairy's spell.
Elfes, fairies, Korrigans and other Farfadets are part of the unique charm of the Broceliande forest and they are sure to be there when you visit l'Arbre d'or(the Golden tree), the legendary Fountain of youth, the Merlin grave, the Guillotin oak, the 'pittoresque' church of Tréhorenteuc or the castles of Comper or Trécesson.

In Tréhorenteuc you'll find 2 pubs of which la taverne "Morgane" serves excellent beer from Brittany.

A "salon de thé", a crêperie-grill, a specialised bookshop,  a shop with specialities from Brittany and a performant Tourist Office complete the picture.
 
The gîte is 50 minutes by motorway from the towncenters of  both Rennes and  Vannes and the nearest village: Néant sur Yvel is only three minutes drive.Here you will find a small general store, an excellent bakersshop and 2 good restaurants and a crêperie.

In Mauron at 5 miles there are a supermarket, butchers and bakersshops, a crêperie and restaurants, a bank and a postoffice.
In the bigger town of Ploërmel at 7 miles, there are several supermarkets, crêperies, restaurants,banks,a postoffice, a cinema, a bowling, a golflink and a large lake where you can practice sailing and windsurf.

Nearby towns and villages: Néant sur Yvel, Concoret, Comper, Campénéac, Paimpont, Beignon, Plélan le Grand, and the historical towns of Josselin, Malestroit, La Gacilly and Rochefort en terre.

Cats and dogs are welcome. For other animals we prefere that you contact us(even if we had very interesting experiences with turtles, rabbits and other giant lizzards).

During the summer season : 350 € a week.
Rest of the year                 : 250 € a week.

We rent a CHARMING FULLY EQUIPED SMALL WOODEN "CHALET" as well, that can accomodate 2 people.

During the summer season : 250 € a week
